Biography
For Anne Allanson, nature and landscape is often the starting point of imagery. "I enjoy the feeling of space such as the expanse of moorlands and beaches."
Before studying Fine Art, graduating in 1986, she trained as an architectural draughtswoman and has worked for Walter Gropius in Cambridge Massachusetts U.S.A., Sir Basil Spence in London and Sir Donald Gibson in Coventry.
She has exhibited widely in and around London and on two occasions in Denmark; had work in seven solo exhibitions and twenty selected exhibitions including the Royal Academy and the Odette Gilbert Gallery in Cork Street, London.
Since 1986 Anne has combined teaching with painting and has taught in various colleges and at the University of Hertfordshire. She moved to Norfolk in 2008 and has exhibited at the Salthouse Gallery in 2010, in "Naked in Norwich" ( Life Drawings - Selected ) at St Margarets Church, Norwich in June 2010, and 2011 and in "Brinkmanship" as part of the North Norfolk Coast Festival Exhibition ( Selected ) at The Rocket Cafe, Cromer, Norfolk in October 2011.
