Biography
My work explores our ideas of individuality and imperfection. It looks at how we present ourselves to the world, how we wish to be perceived by others and how others see us. Sometimes the focus is on specific individuals but focuses on themes that are relevant to us all. Sculptures and installations use a variety of different media from video projection to sculptures of clay and personal objects. The choice of material is always relevant to the exploration.
I teach at a Herts Middle School, run an adult art class on Tuesday evenings at Parndon Mill, and teach home schooled children one day a week at The Courtyard Gallery in Hertford.
I have some work in the Parndon Mill Christmas show 2011, and am working towards an exhibition at the Courtyard gallery in May 2012, with my daughter Dulcie.
