Gillian Gillick


Biography…

After gaining a NDD in Graphic Design, Gillian worked as a Graphic Artist in London and Canada for a number years. In her forties she studied for a Degree in Fine At the University of Hertfordshire, going on to complete a post Graduate Diploma in printmaking, at Watford College. Gillian taught Art & Design at Rickmansworth School as well as Adult Education classes in Harrow. Her work has been exhibited mainly in London and Hertfordshire. 

This artwork was inspired by a visit to a Fair Ground where she took many photographs and synthesised the rides into abstract shapes inspired by the work of Paul Klee and also tried to capture the gaiety of the colourful scene
