Lorraine Fox

Biography…

Lorraine’s landscapes are inspired by her home surroundings and by her visits to Orkney, Scotland and Central France. She tends to produce work in a series, exploring different themes and media.

Lorraine has enjoyed working with egg tempera and gold leaf which can be seen in her painting ‘I Heard the Angels Play.’ Egg tempera is one of the earliest painting medium techniques consisting of finely ground pigments, egg yolk and water. Although time consuming this technique gives brilliant colour and luminosity which can be used in both traditional and more contemporary work.

She is currently working on a series of party scenes inspired by old black and white family photographs from the early 50’s.

Lorraine has work in collections in the UK and USA and has exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London.
